The day we got there...it was 75 degrees in Atlanta so they actually got to swim in the outdoor pool. It had a tunnel that went in to the inside pool. Very cool!
This is how Addi ate her breakfast on Friday morning. Sitting in front of a rainy Atlanta watching from the 39th floor. It was like they were watching a movie. The cars never stopped coming the whole time we were there.
We picked one downtown activity and they chose Imagine It...the Atlanta Children's Museum!
On the way back to our hotel, we stopped in at the Hyatt Regency. I have VERY fond memories of this place because my dad worked there for years when I was growing up. We spent many a New Year's Eve there and they used to put on a heck of a Children's Christmas party. Those parties are etched in my mind forever.
There are 22 floors in the Hyatt, which doesn't seem like a lot now but when we were kids...it was MASSIVE. I was scared of heights (still am) and when we would get on these elevators...I would lay on the floor and cover my eyes. I absolutely hated them. (I didn't love riding it the other day but put on a brave front in front of the kids...lol).
So Papa...this ones for you. I know you have fond memories of this place too. NOT!
We had such a fun little trip. Proves that you really don't need to go too far to have a great time. There's tons of fun in your own backyard!
