The Apple Patch!
The Apple Patch! That's what you get when you tell a 2 year old that you are going to the pumpkin patch and the apple orchard! Addi told us on the way to the North GA mountains that she was excited to go to the "Apple Patch". Love it!!!
We made our annual stop at Poole's BBQ!!! Yummy! It is a ramshackle little place but they have the best BBQ I have ever tasted! This is actually the owner/founder of Poole's. He is somewhat of a celebrity and walks around talking to the customers.
We had PERFECT fall weather. It actually turned out a little chilly just for the weekend! Couldn't ask for anything better! Enjoy the pics of our little day trip. And yes, for the 2nd year in a row...I changed Addi's COMPLETE outfit in between events. Ya'll....stop shaking your head and clicking your tongue ;) ....I know what you're thinking.

Happy Birthday to.......
......one of the sweetest people I know~my friend Beth!!! She really is one of the most helpful, sweet, generous, organized people I know. But don't let her completely fool you....she IS a red head and you know what they say about red heads....ha!!

Here you go: Molly Monster, gingerbread men on the playground, Dylan's dad at the CC, Shirlene calling the CC, Elizabeth at the CC, runaway bunny, Nicknack and Hulio, "Is lunch ready yet??", menges, the library books, the vanity, the coconut and the hammer, the security guard at the Hilton, the gift checkoff at Christmas, Princess and Dr. Wellbee, Karly R. Atwood, Taylor Deese and the box, the parent with the dog memorial pendant and............"we are the boss of Pre-k". There are sooo many more but this should tide you over for now.
Have a Happy Birthday!!!!

The IKEA Experience!
Jackie, Taylor, Addi and I went to IKEA a few weeks ago. It was an experience, let me tell you. I have been before but this time was like no other. It was like the country bumpkins going to town. It still makes me giggle when I think about it. (And this may be one of those times where "you had to be there"...so please, if that's the case, just humor me and laugh anyway).
We were there looking for a small couch for Taylor's room. The first thing we did when we walked in was hop on an elevator. We knew what floor we needed to go to but no matter what button we pushed, we could no get there. Seriously, 15 minutes later, we realized we were on the elevator that only took you to the parking garage. We were laughing so hard at that point that we couldn't even figure out where we needed to be.
We finally made it to the right place and 3 HOURS later, we had made our decision and were on our way. (I won't bore you with the details of that time frame....let's just say that Jackie totally embarrassed Taylor and I).
Soooo....we proceeded to the loading zone. Ha! Do you think we thought to make sure the couch would fit in the car before she bought it??? Ummm...nope. So Taylor had to ride home sprawled out on her new couch in the back of the vehicle.
But the most memorable even of the afternoon was the returning of the shopping cart. I was so excited to see this cart return. I made Jackie and Taylor come and look at it and everything. I thought it was so cool that you just put your cart on it and it goes down the escalator by itself.
Apparently, not the case. I figured out that the cart does not go down the escalator unescorted but the shopper needs to guide (and hold onto) the cart as it clears the hill. Well, I didn't realize that until after my cart took a very terrifying ride down the roller coaster from hell and landed with a HUGE bang on it's side at the bottom.
Thankfully, the elderly couple who were at the bottom moved just in the nick of time or I might be typing this from the Fulton County Jail.

Way Back When-esday!
In honor of Todd's birthday yesterday...here is a pic of his first year of baseball at age 4. He played for the Hiram Angels. The thing I remember most about this first year was when he was in the outfield, he would walk the chalk line like he was on a tightrope with his arms outstretched and everything (yes, while the game was going on and he was SUPPOSED to be playing). LOL!
