Easter.....finally!

I have been trying to get this post up forever. So, finally here is a rundown of some of our Easter activities!

This was on Good Friday! Keith was off that day so we went by the church and helped decorate the cross with some BEAUTIFUL yellow roses from our yard!

Checking out what the EB brought!

Leaving Church! Addi did not feel well the entire weekend so she was a total GROUCH! I never did get a good pic of her in her Easter dress (which I paid less than $10 for (dress and hat) over a year ago...score!!) I know ya'll think I am having a little too much fun dressing my girl.....but I LOVE it!!!
Dinner and Egg Hunt at Jackie's with the fam (minus Todd and Jessica)! Jackie (well, really Greg since now she is a SAHM ;) has the most PERFECT house for all of these holiday events!! Especially Easter....couldn't have asked for a better yard for an egg hunt!
Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter like we did!!!

**For those of you who have asked....Jessica is out of the hospital and recovering at home! She seems to be doing well and is in good spirits!!!

Way Back When-esday!

Happy Birthday to our 2 birthday girls this week! Holley and Grandma Shirley!!! This was 2 years ago when we surprised Shirley at the Dillard House! (Darn...why didn't we plan that again this year???!!)

Way Back When-esday!

Boy have things changed since this Easter 2 years ago. See that sweet little baby sitting on the table?? Hmmpphh! She is now a lively, talkative, rambunctious, energetic (did I say sassy?)
2 year old that tells you exactly what she wants and when she wants it. But oh my goodness she is cute!

Pink Firetruck!

Every time I say that...the song "Pink Cadillac" pops into my head! Anyway.....my neighbor told me about "Turn Town Center PINK" and because I love anything to do with the breast cancer cause and it was at the mall ...we were there. It was a beautiful day to be outside! They had a pink firetruck and police car that the kids could climb on and sign. Drew knows all about his Mee Maw even though he never got to meet her. So he said he was signing in honor of her. He also signed for our sweet little neighbor, 3 year old Malena who lost an eye to cancer last year (she's doing great now).
Drew posing with the Easter Bunny. He wasn't real thrilled with doing it but he was trying to show Addi that the Easter Bunny is good and not evil. She wouldn't take her eyes off of him and didn't speak a word except for "Bye, Eeter Bunny". LOL!

Way Back When-esday!

This was taken on the first day of Spring break 2 years ago when Addi was only a few weeks old. Isn't it just the sweetest? Boy, have things changed!! She is still sweet as pie but I can promise you that the first day of Spring break this year was not near as peaceful with a 2 year old in the house.

Lions & Tigers & Bears......

.......Oh my! We took the kids to the zoo on Sunday. We originally planned to go on Saturday but since we had a typhoon, that had to be postponed. We had to go this weekend for 2 reasons...one Keith was in from out of town and two I had a free family pass to the zoo that was about to expire. (Check your local library.....a lot of them have passes that you can check out once a year to get in free). It was still a little gloomy on Sunday but we decided to chance it and I am so glad we did. We virtually had the place to ourselves. I am soooo glad I had my new camera for this trip. The quality of pictures it takes is unbelievable! I love this picture of the mama gorilla and her new baby. It was so sweet to watch her cradle him.My favorite!!! I could have watched this guy forever. He just strolled out and found some bamboo and sat down and started enjoying his lunch! It didn't fave him in the least that a small crowd of people were standing there oohing and ahhing over him.The Petting zoo. Addi was a little nervous about this at first, but soon enough she was up close and personal with the goats and sheep.I had to snap a picture of this! A Little People table! I told Keith...I would love to have one in the backyard!!!
Drew on the rock climbing wall!
Addi' first carousel ride. She loved it.It was a great day and I am so glad we finally were able to go!!!
