Goodbye 2010, Hello 2011!

I have to say....I am not sad to bid farewell to the year 2010. It has not been a fun year for us (nor was 2009). However, things are already looking up and 2011 looks very promising!! Soooo...goodbye and good riddance 2010, bring on 2011!!! Happy new Year, everyone!!!

Way Back When-esday!

(It is Wednesday, isn't it??? LOL)
I have been sooo cold for days now. I just cannot get warm. When I get in the car...I turn on the heated seats and crank the heater up as high as it will go (until Keith makes me turn it down). At home....I will sit in front of my little space heater and watch tv. He just shakes his head because he is burning up most of the time ( do men really not get cold????). Sooo....I wanted to find a picture for today that would make me feel warm. How much warmer can you get than a freckle faced, tan, little boy eating watermelon on a summer day??? These pics of Drew from July 2007 make me giggle.

Dreaming of a White Christmas!

Our dreams finally came true this Christmas! We had a white Georgia Christmas! Almost unheard of down here in the south (actually the first one in over 100 years). It was most exciting for us. Even though it was just a few inches...it was beautiful. It snowed all day on Christmas day!!! Todd, Shannon, Addi Shannon & AddiAnd a bonus pic for you! Keith and I went out on a date with Greg and Jackie while Nanny (Keith's mom) stayed at our house with the kids. It was so peaceful and relaxing. Jackie and Greg live in an extremely hilly neighborhood so we were afraid to pick them up at their house due to ice. So they had to trek through the woods to the street behind their house to catch a ride!

Free Shipping Friday!

Today is Free Shipping Day. It’s the one day a year when many retailers decide to waive their shipping fees to get last-minute Christmas shoppers to make their final purchases. I suppose that’s a good decision for their bottom line–and for your shopping.
Originally, I was going to do a list of all the sites offering free shipping today, but that list got so long that it just became too much to handle. So instead I will offer these links to sites that have compiled where you can go today to find free shipping:

Also, remember that today is likely the last day that you can take advantage of free standard shipping and feel confident that your gift will arrive by Christmas Eve. Soon enough you’re going to have to pay express shipping prices to get your gift somewhere by December 24th. According to the National Retail Federation, two-thirds of retailers mark December 18th as the deadline for any shipments getting to their destination in time for Christmas, so plan accordingly. Check out this list on Deals.com that lays out the shipping deadlines for hundreds of websites.

Have a great weekend!!!

Way Back When-esday!

This picture of a 6 year old Drew makes me chuckle. Someone at his school had a snowman suit and dressed him up in it. Adorable little snowman, isn't he???

Bye, Baby!

At 21 months, Addi is talking up a storm. She just amazes me every day with the things she says and knows. She cracks me up too. One night a few weeks ago, she had the whole family laughing like crazy. Keith's mom (Nanny) had sent Drew and Addi a Halloween card with some money in it. Of course, it was burning a hole in Drew's pocket so we headed out to Walmart. Keith and I picked out 3 things that might interest Addi....a baby doll, a little pony and a barbie. We held them all in front of her to pick and she went straight for the baby.
She grabbed it and didn't let go the entire time we were in the store. However, when we got up to the register for some reason, she threw the baby down. Keith picked it up and handed it back to her and she threw it down again. So he told her that she wasn't getting it and he gave it to the cashier. Didn't faze Addison in the least and nothing else was said about the baby.We headed out to the car. Loaded the bags, strapped Addi in and all got in the car. All of a sudden as we were driving away...a little voice came from the back seat that said "Bye, baby!!". We died laughing!!!

The Twelve Days Of Christmas........

......for teachers, neighbors, grandparents, co-workers...or just anyone. I do this every year for Drew's teachers, although this year since he has Mrs. Hatch for the 2nd time...I will have to come up with something new. It will be kind of nice to have a break because although, this is so much fun to do (and they LOVE it)...it is a TON of work. I wanted to go ahead and post about it early this year in case someone is not (unlike me) a procrastinator and wants to get started.

I posted all of it last year so instead of reposting the whole thing...I am just going to link you to last year's post. If you have any questions...let me know! Hope your teachers enjoy it as much as ours do! Click here to see all 12 Days!

One Day of Thankfulness

Well, if I could add another day of thankfulness ....I would add that I am thankful to be alive. OMG! I have been soooooo sick for 2 days. It hit me at about noon on Thanksgiving day right before I started making the dressing. I had to lay down and I barely got up again until today (it's Saturday, I think). I had to give Keith step by step directions on how to cook everything (and he did quite well, I might add). I did go to Jackie's but slept almost the entire time (see pic above). Oh....and the worst of it all......I MISSED BLACK FRIDAY!!!!!!!!! Not only did I miss the shopping part but I missed the entire day. It was awful. Thank goodness Taylor stepped in and went with Jackie....but I told her not to get too cozy with the idea because next year...I will be back!! I am almost better but not completely yet!!! UUUGGGHHHH!

And even though this is a little late...I wanted to finish it because I had all of these pics already uploaded and ready to go! Soooo....I am so very, very thankful for my family!!! I love every one of them very much and don;t know what I would do without them!!! I know there are a lot of pics...but for one, there are lots of people to represent and two...i just kept thinking..."oh I have to include this one". Hee hee!!!
