Apple Pickin', Pumpkin Patches and Poole's!!!
We made our annual trip to North Georgia a few weeks ago! I LOVE this trip! We got lucky and it turned cool the day we went (been hotter than heck ever since though). We decided to try out a new Apple Orchard this year! We went to Mercier Orchards. It was wonderful! They had all kind of yummy things for us to snack on. We went on a little hayride out to the orchards to pick our own apples!

Next we headed to Burt's. If you have never been...it is so worth the drive. There are so many photo ops. It is BEAUTIFUL up there!

For lunch we visited one of my all time favorite restaurants.....Poole's BBQ! I absolutely LOVE this place. It doesn't look like much but it is oh, so yummy! The first time Keith took me here....I was like "no way am I eating in that dump". (I know I don't look like it but I am VERY picky about what I eat...lol). He insisted that we go in (he had been there several times before) so I reluctantly let him drag me in! Oh my!!! Not only did I go back for more that day...we got a big container to take home with us! It really is BBQ heaven!
What a fun day we had! I can't wait to plan another trip to the N. GA mountains!! (We missed you Jess and Bailey...hopefully you can come next time!!)Wednesday, October 20, 2010

When Jennifer (Diloreto) Wagstaff came to visit a few weeks ago, her and Shannon were trying to figure out the last time they saw each other. We thought it was Jennifer's 16th birthday party right before she left but I remembered another time...just couldn't remember the details. I came across these pics yesterday of them. A Bird's Eye View!
Our neighbor invited us to come down to his place of employment to watch the Air Show on Sunday. His office is literally at the end of the runway. And the best part is....we got to go up on the roof to watch. We could almost see the pilots as they zoomed overhead. It was AWESOME!

Happy Birthday, BFF!
Happy Birthday to my BFF, Beth today! We met a hundred years ago (well, ok not really 100...but it seems that way) when I taught Pre-K at Sunbrook. We clicked immediately! They say opposites attract and it is so true in this case. Beth is THE NEATEST, TIDIEST person on earth...kid you not! I, on the other hand.....am not! So we worked great together because I would make the messes and she would go behind me and clean them up. We will get on the phone now and relive old times (we even say that "let's relive the day that.....") and we will laugh and talk for hours! I am giggling now thinking of some of the funny stories! Happy Birthday, Beth! Love ya!!! (That is Honey and Baby in the pic....AKA Beth and her husband, Jim).

.........Shirlene Brown Brown Samples Brown Cason......or is it Carson??? Yep...my long time friend Shirlene tied the knot yesterday on 10-10-10! Cool anniversary, huh? I think she just wanted to make sure that David doesn't forget their wedding anniversary. Doesn't she look beautiful?
