Camera Woes

Well, I had planned to do a post about our trip to the Circus on Saturday! I ordered Drew and Addi a free circus ticket after they were born and have been waiting for the right time to use them. If you have a newborn you can go here and order a free ticket for him/her.

We got there an hour early and were able to go down on the floor and visit with the clowns and animals and I took some really cute pics! BUT.........after the show, I decided to take another pic of the kids in front of a huge banner and my camera was gone!!! We frantically searched everywhere for it and it didn't turn up. I backtracked our steps and checked customer service...all to no avail! So I have no pictures of Addi's first circus!!! I know to some...that's not a HUGE deal but those who know me...know that I am a camera/picture fanatic and I am just devastated over it.


So, I will not be updating my blog for a week or so until I decide what to do about a camera. When I return I will be sharing lots of pics of Addison's 2nd birthday which will be a "Little People" party! I have been working hard on all of the details and can't wait to share them with everyone!!

Way Back When-esday!

15 years ago today, on a cold, snowy morning my mom passed away peacefully in her sleep. She had fought a long, hard battle with breast cancer and to our utter sadness and dismay....she lost. Sometimes it seems like it was yesterday and other days it does seem like it has been 15 years (or longer). There will forever be something missing in my (our) life........you just never really get over something so devastating. I think about her everyday.

It breaks my heart that she never got to see these precious faces. How she would have loved them!!! And they would have loved their "Mee Maw" too.

My Little Valentine......

......says "Happy Valentines Day"!!! Even though I couldn't get the girl to crack a smile no matter how hard I tried. And my other little Valentine was too busy playing on this gorgeous day and couldn't be bothered to have his picture taken! Hope everyone is having a great day!

Way Back When-esday!

This was Valentine's Day...2009. About 2 weeks before Addison was born and our world was rocked (in a good way, of course). I remember this day well.....it was freezing outside, I was almost 9 months preggo (and HUGE). We just stayed home in our jammies all day. I had little surprises for Drew for Valentine's Day and this heart shaped pizza being delivered was the last surprise of the day. I just love it! Note to self....call Papa John's and see if they are doing it again this year!

While I was away....

Last weekend, I went away to a scrapbook retreat (will tell you about it in a sec). Keith had 2 pretty big events to take the kids to....AWANA Pinewood Derby and Daddy/Daughter Date Night at Chick Fil A! I laid out all clothes, shoes, hairbows and everything else he would need to survive without me for the weekend. I even gave him a tutorial on how to fix little girl hair! And I gave VERY strict instructions to make sure he took the camera with him when he went to both events (you see where this is going, don't you?).


Well, he did remember to take the camera to the pinewood derby. Yay Keith! But it would have been nice if he would have turned the flash on! And this is a great shot of this unknown mans.....ummmm...... legs!

Oh, and this will be a great picture to reminisce with in 20 years. The track!So that is basically the pics of the PD! Now onto the DD Date Night! He calls me from Chick Fil A as I am happily scrapping away to tell me the bad news. Yep...he forgot the %$^&# camera! Really???? But, no problem...he tells me~they are taking pictures! That makes me feel a tad bit better. That is until I actually saw the picture that they gave him. It was in a cute little frame and everything...but do you notice anything strange about the pic? Yeah, they cut the top of Keith's head off. And WHAT is up with the hairdo....lol??? Thank goodness CFA did take some pictures and posted them on Facebook. It looked absolutely adorable. But I will say...when I got home the house was SPOTLESS (he even mopped the floors), laundry completely done (I need to find out his trick for this), and the kids were bathed and fed. So I can't complain too much, now can I???Now how was my weekend, you ask??? OH M GEE! The place that we went to was FABULOUS!! It was just over an hour away in Jasper but it felt like we were nestled away in the Smokies! They only rent it out for women and it was perfect. I have already been thinking about which group of friends I can plan a trip with to go back. Ok, bunco girls, scrapbook buds or just random strangers...anyone wanna join me??! Check it out here!

Way Back When-esday!

Ok, since I am (finally) going to a scrapbook retreat this weekend......I dug out an old pic from another time, at another scrapbook weekend. I tell ya...there have been so many. I could tell you soooo many stories, just thinking of some of them....make me crack up. It's not all about scrapbooking ya know (don't tell Keith that). We laugh, eat, shop, stay up all night, act silly and, yes we do get a few projects done on occasion!

This picture was taken in May 2009, not long after Addison was born. I was so happy to get out of the house and go! Michelle and I were so delirious at this point that we started making up our own games. This game was called "Who here has the smallest butt (or was it the biggest)??? LOL Anyway, for some odd reason they were comparing butt sizes and Michelle was the judge in charge of deciding! In this picture she is getting the vote from the crowd (which, thank goodness...that's where I was).

I miss those days. I am hoping that when I get back after this weekend...I will have found my mojo and can start scrapping again. Drew informed me the other day that when he grows up...he wants ALL of his life in scrapbooks to show his kids..... not just up to age 9 (ha...I wish I was up to age 9....I am that far behind)!!
