Clean Sweep Consignment Sale!

Wanna purchase some cool scrapbook supplies for a great price??? Who doesn't, right? Well, you have the chance to do that! From Saturday, August 1-Monday August 3, my very favorite scrapbook store is hosting a consignment sale. You can read all about it here. I have been cleaning out and going through my stash for weeks now. Here is just a sampling of stuff that I am selling! I have tons more......(what, that doesn't surprise you?).
If you can't make it to Carrollton for the consignment sale and want to come by my house before I take everything.....let me know. Tonight (Tuesday) or Wednesday evening will be the only 2 nights left before it is gone to Sweet Memories!

Happy Birthday to my dad today!! These pics were taken last year at his 70th birthday party! My cousins were in town from Ohio, so the timing was perfect! We arranged this little surprise party for him. It was a blast...even though I called 3 times to confirm, they lost our reservation (are you noticing a pattern here?) so they ended up giving us our own private room for no charge. Happy birthday, Dad....I love you!

Way Back When-esday!

I am probably going to get in trouble for posting this pic but it was the only one I could find of this memorable event. This was Jackie's surprise 40th birthday party at Spaghetti Warehouse in Marietta. It was held Friday, July 21, 2006. Greg and I had planned for weeks for this night. Everything was going great...the guests had rsvp'd, cake was ordered....every little detail taken care of. The staff at SW even called me that day to confirm and ask how I wanted the tables set up. The perfect party, right? Ummmm...wrong. We got there and there was NO AIR CONDITIONING in the building. This was July, people. In Georgia! what were they thinking? Yep, the air had been broken for 2 weeks and they failed to tell us. Uggggghhhh! I was livid!

After a 8 1/2 month pregnant woman almost passing out, a 3 year old puking (yeah, Katy that would be your child) and my little personalized chocolates melting everywhere....I complained to upper management and the whole party (except alcohol) was comped. We still sweltered into the night....but it made things a little easier to take! As if turning 40 isn't trauma enough!

Friends and Family Weekend!!!

We had a busy weekend filled with friends and family! On Friday night, we had our Sunday School class (plus a few others) and their families over for a pool party! Everyone brought food and as usual we had quite a feast! YUM! I really can't explain the next few pictures except to say....IHOP at 2 am, home in bed at 4 am. Yes, it was quite a late night. Oh, and an "unexpected" visit at the BP in Town Lake. And I will say...that man behind the counter is potentially Shirlene's new man. Hmmm...that would make her Shirlene Brown Brown Samples Brown Cason! Quite a name, there girl!

Then, Saturday night we had an impromptu cookout at Jackie's house. She has been begging for my (well, really Michelle's) twice baked potatoes, so we decided to go over there and cook out. OMG! We had a feast! Greg cooked the best hamburgers and he made home made strawberry ice cream and later Taylor made us little strawberry shortcakes! We played Spoons and just relaxed until late into the night!
Whew! Believe it or not.....we did make it to church on Sunday.....I wasn't sure after 2 late nights! But we came home and did NOTHING the rest of the day! How was your weekend?

Puppy Party!

My friend, Kelly (well, she is a friend but I don't actually know her. Ok, I know her...but she doesn't know me, but she did email me back once....does that count?) at Kelly's Korner is hosting a blog hop to share kid's birthday parties. You all know how I LOVE doing parties so this is right up my alley. I decided to show pics of Drew's 7th birthday party in Sept. 2007. I had finally convinced him to have a Puppy party. It turned out so cute! I have already started thinking about Addi's first birthday in March.....how does a ladybug party sound?
